I found this piece of news from InsideRadio.com interesting, especially since it affects WHAS radio, which has been broadcasting in HD for a while:
AM radio goes HD 24/7 tonight.
When the clock strikes 12 midnight the FCC will allow AM stations across the country to turn on their HD signals after dark. Until now the 226 AM stations broadcasting in HD have had to switch back to analog at night.
Also starting tonight are new rules requiring FM HD-2 multicasts to begin airing EAS alerts.[/b]
Anybody have a HD radio yet?
