Just saw the movie "Keep Your Distance" for the first time last night. The film, which was shot entirely on location in Louisville, came out in 2005. (Many of the folks who visit this forum probably know about the flick and might have even seen it, but I didn't until I saw it mentioned on Terry Meiners' Website recently.)
The movie's main character is a WHAS air personality (really) and there's plenty of real WHAS stuff in the movie including the use of the station's imaging voice (Carter Davis), JAM jingles and WHAS' logo. Some of the movie was shot in the Clear Channel Louisville complex, with the 790 studios (which are unused a lot of the time) subbing for WHAS control room and talk show studio -- and the ADR was done at Clear Channel Louisville too.
Louisville never looked better, and the movie was decent for an independent film. It kept our interest right to the very end.
The DVD has lots of extras including deleted scenes, alternate endings and a "making of" feature. Well worth the $1.00 I paid for it on eBay!
It is rated R though...some bad words, female frontal nudity and some sexual situations.
Still, it should be of interest...especially if you're from Kentucky and are a radio geek like me. :-)
