I noticed the name of Randy Davidson as a DJ at WRKA in 1982. Randy went on to play an important role in "Terry Meiners and Company" on WHAS by doing most of the vocal characterizations on the show. The most memorable one is staff announcer "Buzz" Baxter, but he also did an impression of former UK basketball coach Joe B. Hall that was hilarious!
I know that Randy has not been a part of the Meiners show for several years. I wonder where he is now?

I worked with Randy at WBLG in Lexington in the late '70s. He called himself "Dan Davidson" then (he told me Dan was his brother's name) and was doing PM drive. He left 'BLG for WVLK. Nice guy. Very talented with his voices, although I don't remember him doing them on the air on WBLG. (He'd crack you up when the mic was off.)

Okay, I sent an e-mail to Terry Meiners asking about Davidson. Here's his reply:
Randy still lives in Louisville and does voiceover work from his home studio.
He was on my show from 1985 to 1994.
He's doing fine. I saw him at a coffee shop about a month ago.

Thanks for the update. Maybe Terry should invite Buzz Baxter in as a special guest one afternoon.
